We saw the ET’s first footage and now WB has released the teaser trailer, via MSN, for THE LOSERS. Remember Armageddon Vs. Deep Impact back in 1998? Well this year we have THE A-TEAM Vs. THE LOSERS. Both teams betrayed, both teams are soldiers, both teams have people with peculiar skills and characteristics. Which movie do you think will win? In my review, I mentioned that Cameron wanted to start a culture, a following just like what Gene Roddenberry or George Lucas did, isn’t Cameron’s intention more obvious now with the existence of this language service?! Just don’t use the language to get hot chicks in clubs, cause it won’t work. Gotta make time for hotties! After all, the following female characters are..in the words of Prince.. “the reason that God made a girl”. Please note that my intention is NOT to come up with a list like Mr. Skin’s. Now, I know some of you may go, WTF on my first top choice but Michelle Rodriguez’s attitude as Trudy was absolutely attractive in AVATAR and she always has that awesome stare. It’s tough to pick and choose between the G.I. JOE girls and also tough to pick and choose between Sorority Row girls. I think Zoe Saldana is forever sexy but I’d rather get to know her Uhura in Star Trek than her Na’vi. The rest are pretty obvious but do let me know if I have unintentionally left out certain characters. Now, I’m a straight guy who admires a woman’s beauty… so to all Rama’s SCREEN female readers out there, please understand that it would be awkward for me to start a list of hottest male characters of 2009. But if you wanna compile a list of your own, of which movie male characters you think were the hunkiest this past year, by all means, please share it in the comment section, your opinions are welcomed here. O brother.. this is what I was worried about.. the trailer for the Urban remake of my to funniest movie in 2007, DEATH AT A FUNERAL has been released by Screen Gems, via Yahoo, and it’s just like the original version but much worse because it actually spoils the hilarious parts of the movie, well, the urban version of the hilarious parts of the movie.
It’s weird how Chris Rock and the gang actually just recycled the same jokes, even little talented actor Peter Dinklage has to do his same exact gig again, but just add more booty, yelling, racial jokes and some “Damn!”
Seriously guys, before this remake hits theaters, I highly suggest you go watch the 2007 Frank-Oz directed Brit-comedy first, then maybe you’ll like it as much as I did, or at least enough to not wanna see this Americanized treatment at all. I never really cared to watch MTV’s Behind The Screen, I don’t think Josh Horowitz is that great of an interviewer, I’m sure he’s a cool guy in person, I don’t know, but I’d rather watch James Lipton’s Inside Actors Studio for hours, now that’s a conversation worth following. But Fox recognizes the power and the audience that MTV has and if it wants AVATAR to hit profit, it will need to tap into this channel especially with only about 3 weeks or less til the movie’s release on December 18th, 2009… Read the rest of this entry »

It’s almost Turkey day but Collider and Omelete have the first 2 official images from THE LOSERS Based on the graphic novel by Andy Diggle and artist Jock. The movie’s directed by Sylvain White and starring Zoe Saldana, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Idris Elba, Columbus Short, Chris Evans. The story centers on members of a CIA black ops that after betrayed and left for dead, seek out revenge on those who targeted them for assassination.
