The nominees for the 2010 BAFTA Awards (British Oscars) were announced and I gotta say, fierce competition! I even had a hard time predicting the winners for this year. Just in the category of films not in English language alone, all the movies there deserve to win but look, Let The Right One In got mentioned, I thought that was old news but apparently it didn’t get UK wide release until this past year. I’m a bit disappointed Sandra Bullock got snubbed, I loved The Hangover but Best Screenplay? Seriously? I’m hoping BAFTA would be wiser than Golden Globes as far as voting for the winner of the highest honor, Best Picture drama instead of just handing it to the recent 3D box office hit. The ceremony will be aired on BBC on Sunday, February 21st, 2010 from the Royal Opera House in London. Check out the list of the nominees and my predictions after this jump…
