The prayers of those of us who wish for the sequel all these years have been answered.
On St. Patrick’s Day yesterday, Director of one of the coolest movies of all time, Troy Duffy announced that he’s going to make BOONDOCK SAINTS 2.
Every Irishman on earth would drink to that!
The word is that most of the cast will reprise their roles with the exception of Willem Defoe, which is too bad because he was awesome in the first movie, despite that one disturbing scene. Those of you who’ve watched it know what I’m talking about.

THE BOONDOCK SAINTS was released in 2000 but didn’t do so well in the box office, when it hit DVD, it became one of all time’s cult favorite. People talk about it, people like to watch it over and over again. people brag about having it as part of their DVD collection like owning Scarface or The Big Lebowski
I personally thought the movie was heavy metal awesome! It’s got “cool” written all over it.
I’m glad they’re going go through with this sequel plan.
