THE BOURNE 4

Bourne LegacyJust waiting for the OSCARS to begin in a few more hours now. Today time is counting down to cinema’s biggest party. So here I am, sitting in the lobby of Holiday Inn Express in Baltimore city on a Sunday and I’m thinking… while the world is waiting for the Envelopes to be open, I’ll share with you some quick movie info update.
This past Friday, Variety had this long article about the strategies that Universal is planning to execute in response to the growing concerns about how the industry is currently doing and the potential Screen Actors Guild Strike that might happen this summer and they’re evaluating how they did in previous years. And included in that plan is Universal getting Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass might return to make another Bourne movie.
Continue to check out more about The Bourne 4 plan

Here’s an excerpt from the article…

On tap is a fourth “Bourne” movie, but their slate is full of efforts to either launch new franchises or resurrect old ones
More recently, Shmuger and Linde landed Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon for a fourth “Bourne” movie, even though the director and star seemed ready to wrap it up after three pics.

Matt Damon at one point has said that he’d love to do another Bourne movie as long as Director Paul Greengrass agrees to come back for it as well. Paul Greengrass directed The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, he was nominated for Oscar for directing United 93.
A Fourth Bourne movie would be all right. But I already liked the third movie and I thought the ending. It left us with a cliffhanger, a question of where he is going to go next, are they done hunting him down?!
I believe in leaving the stage at the top of your game and The Bourne Ultimatum was the best in the series, a blaze of glory, to come up with another sequel would risk the possibility of disappointment and failure and you don’t wanna leave that kind of mark in audiences’ memory.
Whatever happens to the good ol’ saying ‘Third time’s the charm’? Isn’t a trilogy perfect enough?
If I remember correctly there were only three books about The Bourne series that the original author Robert Ludlum wrote.
But after that some guy named Eric Van Lastbader continue the thriller and write more novels using the same characters. Some of the titles he came up with are “The Bourne Legacy” and “The Bourne Betrayal”.
Maybe they’re going to use those.

What do you think movie buffs? Would you wanna see Matt Damon back in action as Jason Bourne again?
What do you think the story’s going to be about this time?
