What the hell is the great director Oliver Stone is thinking? No one knows. But he knows in his heart that he wants to make a movie about George W. Bush and that is exactly what he’s going to do. This past week, the whole complete cast of the project has been announced.
It might shock some people to find out that the actors chosen are too awesome to play the Bush dynasty and for all the right reasons.
Josh Brolin is not nearly as stupid, Elizabeth Banks is way too pretty, James Cromwell is not as incompetent and Ellen Burstyn is beautiful for her age.
Oliver Stone is obsessed with stories about world leaders. He’s made JFK, Nixon, Alexander and also a documentary about his meeting with Fidel Castro called Comandante.
Like it or not, whether you’re for Bush or anti-Bush, this is going to be a drama, which is too bad.. because I’ve always thought Bush family would be a perfect target for a comedy movie.

Stone will direct from a script by his “Wall Street” co-writer Stanley Weiser.
The movie will simply be called “W” instead of the initial “Bush”.
I’m glad they chose “W:, because the title “Bush” might make stand up comedians and late night show hosts everywhere create more nasty jokes on the family much more than they already have.
The film is expected to be ready for distribution possibly by the November presidential elections and certainly before Bush leaves the White House in January. The project is set to begin shooting at the end of April in Shreveport, Louisiana.
