I didn’t like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre the remake that much and I thought Friday the 13th the remake was practically softcore porn. I was waiting to be scared to sh*t but I got aroused instead..what the hell! I don’t wanna watch a horror flick to get a hard-on.
And so director Marcus Nispel is nothing but a mediocre in my book. Just another filmmaker who can do slashers, whoptidoo. He and Eli Roth should co-direct together an ultimate movie that’s so gory, sex-crazy and disgusting, it’s banned in U.S.A.
But the reason I’ve chosen to include this one is because of the material of the movie. According to Variety, Nispel has got himself another gig that’s his cup of tea, THE LAST VOYAGE OF DEMETER for Phoenix Pictures, scripted by Bragi Schut Jr., the story is based on a chapter in the famous book Bram Stoker’s DRACULA.
It’s about a cargo ship from Bulgaria with destination England but along the way, members of the crew start to disappear and the story ends with the ship crashed into the rocks at Whitby with the dead captain lashed to the steering wheel and all because a Vampire count was on board.
This movie had me on Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Nispel or not Nispel behind the camera, I am so watching this.
