We saw the ET’s first footage and now WB has released the teaser trailer, via MSN, for THE LOSERS. Remember Armageddon Vs. Deep Impact back in 1998? Well this year we have THE A-TEAM Vs. THE LOSERS. Both teams betrayed, both teams are soldiers, both teams have people with peculiar skills and characteristics. Which movie do you think will win? That tricky last part of the trailer reminds me of Crank where Jason Statham shot the bad guys by just pointing his fingers at him. Watch the trailer after this jump…
Action Thriller. An explosive tale of double cross and revenge, “The Losers” centers upon the members of an elite U.S. Special Forces unit sent into the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. The team-Clay, Jensen, Roque, Pooch and Cougar -find themselves the target of a lethal betrayal instigated from inside by a powerful enemy known only as Max. Presumed dead, the group makes plans to even the score when they’re joined by the mysterious Aisha, a beautiful operative with her own agenda. Working together, they must remain deep undercover while tracking the heavily-guarded Max, a ruthless man bent on embroiling the world in a new high-tech global war.
THE LOSERS opens April 9th, 2010
Looks ok but… lacks star power. That’s what’ll hurt the film. A-Team is gonna kick its butt simply because of the star power.
Seriously…. how can you compare Zoe Saldana, Chirs Evans, Jason Patric, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan with…. A-Team’s Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel, and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson. And after District 9, even Sharlto Copley has more star power haha.
The Expendables, the A-Team, and now The Losers. My bet is all three bomb.
True… true.. the only one with Star Power in THE LOSERS is Zoe Saldana because of STAR TREK and AVATAR…but then again, we didn’t watch STAR TREK and AVATAR because of her now did we?!
And you can’t really tell its Saldana in Avatar amyway now can you? haha
Yeah this will be Amageddon vs Deep impact. bUt in this case it’s more like young people vs middle-aged people.
The A-team has a more older cast that mid-aged people enjoy seeing.
The losers has a younger cast that the younger generation favors more. Plus the younger generation can’t relate to what was the big deal about the A-team.
So really it just all comes down to the audience. I favor the A-team cause I grew up on it plus I’m saving my badass merc movie money on ‘The Expendables” and Predators. But I will movie-hop the A-team.
I don’t know about the losers nor read the books but from what I seen with the trailer it reminds of that 90s film Men of War with Dolph Lungren or Mercenaries the game with 3 more people.
