Previous info said that the release date for RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE got moved to January 14th, 2011 instead of this year’s August because director Paul W.S. Anderson needed more months to finish the movie and it would take longer for the 3D post production work. Although star Milla Jovovich was still convinced the movie would arrive sooner than that. Her faith has paid off because Shocktilyoudrop heard the fourth installment might return back to this year instead…
Turns out Anderson won’t be needing that extra time for the FX and 3D after all, and that RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE is back on track and it’s scheduled for release on September 10th, 2010!
If it were to stay in January, Alice and Umbrella corporation would have to compete against Joss Whedon’s CABIN IN THE WOODS which would also be in 3D. That actually would be the B.O. fight I’d like to see, certainly would be more entertaining than the movies themselves.
In RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE, Alice continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead leads them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.
