Via comingsoon.net, Columbia Pictures has announced the release date for the Facebook biopic movie, THE SOCIAL NETWORK. It will it theaters nationwide on October 15th, 2010. THE SOCIAL NETWORK, directed by David Fincher, scripted by Aaron Sorkin, based on the book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal by Ben Mezrich (check out synopsis). Scott Rudin, Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti are producing with a budget of $47 Million
The other movie scheduled for release on October 15th, 2010 is action drama FASTER starring Dwayne Johnson and Billy Bob Thornton, about an ex-con bent on avenging the death of his brother, murdered 10 years earlier when the two were double-crossed during a heist. Sounds more exciting… I might go see this one instead of THE SOCIAL NETWORK.
