The Story For The Next JAMES BOND Movie Will Be ‘Shocking!’

Daniel Craig James Bond

Part of me wants to see James Bond back to the way he used to be, gadgets, Q, Moneypenny, more far-fetched gadgets but part of me wants to see the James Bond that Daniel Craig has revived to remain the same for a while because let’s face it, it’s character-oriented and his version of Bond is hardcore. I am excited about the prospect of the next movie because the great scribe Peter Morgan (The Queen, Frost/Nixon) has joined the team of Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. Morgan’s name is synonymous with quality. He spoke recently, via Mi6.co.uk and said this about what we can anticipate..

“It’s a shocking story”,
“It’s a magnet for publicity – everyone wants to know what’s going on with the new Bond”.

I didn’t mind Quantum Of Solace, but I can understand why some people thought it was boring. After all, the villain didn’t have weird characteristics and it’s about water control instead of world domination.
But… what’s shocking about the next movie? I thought it was shocking when he wrecked the car in the beginning scene of Quantum Of Solace, what could be more shocking than that?

Maybe Bond isn’t actually British, maybe he’s gay, maybe he actually liked his martini stirred all this time, maybe he secretly has a crush on his boss M, maybe the shocking part is at the end of the movie he’ll retire and give the job to P. Diddy who’s been dying to be the first black American Bond.

Whatever it is, it’s going to have to wait because MGM is still up for sale, it all depends on which giant gets to buy the studio and is willing to invest on BOND 23 (working title). Word has it Time Warner Inc. and Lionsgate are front runners to become possible owners.
Pre-production has been pushed to February 2010. Craig previously said that filming will take place in the fall of 2010, which probably means that BOND 23 will be released in November 2011,… November has always been agent 007’s favorite release month.
