Slashfilm has the low-res poster of THE WRESTLER that was on display at the recent AFI.. Man, I can’t wait for December, because not only it’s the celebration of the day that a baby me was born 25 years ago, but it’s also the month where great quality, amazing movies are released, trying to get those nominations, a chance to be the best of the best of the year.
I haven’t been lucky enough to screen THE WRESTLER, so far the only reason I got is that Marisa Tomei is in it, but apparently the force is strong for Darren Aronofsky‘s directing and Mickey Rourke‘s acting. Who woulda thunkit?! I mean years ago, Mickey Rourke was only known for his controversial 9 and 1/2 Weeks Movies and now he might just be the next Best Actor. This is his one shot to glory, man… if he didn’t get this one, then who knows when he could have another Wrestler-like movie to showcase his talent. Some actors are born for some roles only, this is it.
