Tim Burton to Direct PIRATES 4?

Burton

This particular info has been circulating around the web and it’s always followed with one phrase.. take it with a grain of salt.
So what if it’s a rumor, it’s fun though.. Real quick now, the word goes that Director Gore Verbinski (damn that’s a cool name,.. it’s like.. how many people you know has the name Viggo Mortensen?!).. anyways, where was I, ah yes.. Gore Verbinski who helmed the first three PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN Movies is not really big on doing a fourth one, besides.. he’s too busy developing BIOSHOCK Movie.
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 4 by the way already has Johnny Depp locked in as Jack Sparrow again… that part is not a rumor, it’s fact.
Here’s a rumor, Keira Knightley might not return to reprise her role as Elizabeth Swan… yeah, like we really wanna see her again.
But here’s a bigger rumor that would kick that rumor’s ass… According to the bird who told Cinema Blend, if Disney can’t get Verbinski for reals, then Tim Burton might be the one to take his place as the Director.
Right now though, Burton is a little bit occupied with another Disney’s project ALICE IN WONDERLAND.
Want another rumor? how bout this.. the early concepts for the Fourth movie are set to introduce Captain Jack’s brother and that either Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat) or newcomer Bit-comedian Russell Brand (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) might play the role.
Don’t you just love rumors?! What if this all comes true? Will you like the outcome? In At World’s End, we were introduced to supposedly Jack Sparrow’s dad,.. do we really need to know his brother? Will he be as crazy as he Jack is?
This is all for now from Rumortown.
