Well, well, well,… will you look at this, IESB heard a rumor back in January about the possibility of TRANSFORMERS The Ride and the rumor has finally come true. Be careful what you freakin’ wish for, I guess. But it’s not actually going to be a roller coaster. Via comingsoon.net, Universal Parks & Resorts has paired up with Hasbro and DreamWorks Pictures to produce a “Transformers” attraction at its parks in Hollywood and Singapore set to open in early 2011. Damn, I didn’t even know there was one in Singapore.. isn’t that country kinda small and packed and crowded by now?!
Anyways, check out how awesome they’re gonna design this thing, the word is…
The attraction will fuse 3D-HD media, mega special effects and stunning robotics with a ride system that will transform perceptions of theme park experiences. The rides are scheduled to make their debuts in early 2011, first at Universal Studios Singapore and then at Universal Studios Hollywood. In “Transformers,” Earth’s humans are caught in the middle of an intergalactic war between the friendly Autobots and the evil Decepticons, which are able to change into a variety of objects, including cars, trucks, planes and other technological creations.
Hey, that ain’t fair, Why does Singapore get to have it first?
That said, Universal Studios could use this addition, The Simpsons The Ride is okay, but in my opinion it needs something like this, extravagant and groundbreaking to really really replace the classic, now replaced Back to the Future The Ride..
Some movie freaks out there have told me that they didn’t like TRANSFORMERS Movie since the plot was so dumb… I don’t blame them, come to think of it again, the storyline was borderline lame, but that’s expected in any Michael Bay’s movie… the thing to remember is that when you watch Bay’s movies, you watch them for the explosion and the thrilling, mind-blowing action sequences.
Keep that in your mind when you watch the sequel, TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, which opens in theaters June 26th, 2009
