We all know that Nicole Kidman is a drop dead gorgeous woman,… some may argue it’s the botox that keeps her going, but hey, whatever the hell she does to her body and face, it sure is working, because attractive doesn’t even begin to describe this good lookin’ pasty Hollywood Aussie star.
But would you like her still if she were a dude? Would you still think she’s da bomb if she was not a woman? Because in her next role, she will be playing a guy, at least for the half part of the movie.
According to Hollywood Reporter, Nicole Kidman has signed on to star in THE DANISH GIRL as the true story of the world’s first post-op transsexual, married to a woman played by… (drumroll please)… Charlize Theron!
If in 2003’s Monster, we were disgusted by how ugly Theron looked, we can only imagine how weird it’s gonna be to see Nicole Kidman with male facial features and I’m assuming she’ll probably even get a pair of balls, literally.
The premise of the story is a bit confusing, so far right now all I got is a big “huh?”
based on the true story of Danish artists Einar and Greta Wegener. Their marriage took a sharp left turn after Einar (Kidman) stood in for an female model that Greta (Theron) was set to paint.
When their portraits become wildly popular in 1920s Copenhagen, Greta encouraged her husband to adopt the female guise. What began as a harmless game led Einer to a metamorphosis and landmark 1931 operation that shocked the world and threatened their love.
What a girl would do to try to win another Oscar, ain’t it?!
Just like how painful it must’ve been to be the first person to undergo the world’s first circumcision, it must’ve been an uncomfortable painful procedure as well to become the first Transsexual, especially with the ‘ancient’ medical stuff of the 1930s.
Anand Tucker (Shopgirl) is attached to direct the feature, adapted by writer Lucinda Coxon (Wild Target) from David Ebershoff’s 2000 Viking bestseller.
Listen here, I am all for watching Nicole Kiidman and Charlize Theron going at it, gettin’ it on, locking lips on the big screen,…whatever… but this Transsexual thing will be quite the twist which I’m not sure I’m ready to see. So Brace yourself.
