Happy Friday night! Got plenty of movies to watch this weekend but before I head out and get me some guilty pleasure, real quick now, according to shocktilyoudrop, the company that brought us SAW franchise, Twisted Pictures has bought the screen rights to and is developing a big screen version of the horror graphic novel SORROW…
SORROW was created by Rick Remender and Seth Peck and illustrated by Francesco Francavilla published by Image Comics in 2007, the synopsis is.. “In 1952, the U.S. Government’s nuclear testing killed all of the good people of Sorrow, Nevada. Today, the sign in front of the town reads “population zero”. The locals, however, will tell you a ver different story… When a car accident strands four young travelers in this desolate ghost town, they soon find that not all that is buried is dead. Mingling the psychological terror of The Exorcist with the eerie dread of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, Sorrow inspires fear in the most hardened of horror fans.”
The script for SORROW the movie is written by Michael Hidalgo whose plan is to make the movie that would resonate with the fans of this genre that’s a throwback to ’70s and ’80s horror/thriller films with the perfect mix of terror and memorable characters
