Universal Studios

If you live near the great City of Los Angeles, CA.. like me! Then you’d definitely think of this as belated Christmas gift. Via cnbc, Recently Universal Studios announced the new concept in their annual pass.. the 2009 All Access Pass.

What does it all mean? It means this..
Starting Monday December 29th, 2008 and all the way through the year of the Ox, 2009, with the cost of just $72, (yup, that comes out of your own pocket) The 2009 All Access Pass will offer unrestricted 365-day “no black-out date” park access, a dedicated VIP “hassle-free” express front gate entrance, Backlot Studio Tour priority boarding privileges for most of the year, plus an array of discounts on all food and merchandise purchases at the theme park and $12 off the purchase of guest tickets.

Still doesn’t sound like a good enough deal for ya? How bout this.. on top of that, Other “hassle free” highlights of the “2009 All Access Pass” includes Universal Studios Hollywood unprecedented “Umbrella Policy” which takes the barometer and weather forecast guesswork from the theme park equation. With “The World’s First-Ever Theme Park Guaranteed Rain Check,” guests visiting Universal Studios Hollywood will receive a rain check ticket valid for use any time in the following 30 days on a day that the park receives over 1/8″ of rainfall by 2:00 p.m. Plus, on rainy days, guests will be provided with complimentary coffee and hot chocolate at designated covered and indoor rest areas.

I don’t care too much for coffee but I do enjoy Shrek 3-D The Ride. It is awesome!
My guess is this is Universal’s strategy to reassure visitors that there have been changes since the fire that happened this past summer, and that the theme park is still a safe and fun place for the whole family to enjoy
The happiest place on earth in my opinion, has always been Six Flags mainly because the love for roller coasters run through my veins, but Universal Studios does have special place in my unclogged artery.
I used to have an annual pass, it cost a ridiculous amount of dollar and I couldn’t go on certain dates, so I’m gonna give this new deal a shot. Ya see…I’m the kind of guy who likes going to same place over and over again if I like it that much.

The 2009 All Access Pass, priced at $72.00, will be available for purchase beginning December 29, 2008 at www.UniversalStudiosHollywood.com and it will also be sold at the theme park ticket booths from January to April 2009.
