Ok, that’s it! I really gotta read this book now, UP IN THE AIR by author Walter Kim who came up with Thumbsuckers. Ya see.. If the director of Juno, Jason Reitman is going to make the movie version soon then there’s gotta be something about the book that’s just so damn awesome, because so far the cast chosen to star have been awesome too. George Clooney in the lead and recently cutie Anna Kendrick joined the gang.
And now, according to Variety, the female star from The Departed, Vera Farmiga has been considered worthy enough of becoming Clooney’s on-screen love interest.
I remember her steamy scenes in movies like Running Scared and Never Forever, but she’s mostly known for her role in The Departed and the recent sad drama The Boy in The Striped Pajamas… boy that movie was so sad, I felt a bit suicidal afterwards.
The Plot of UP IN THE AIR is about a human resources executive (George Clooney) whose only joy in life comes from the prospect of notching his millionth frequent-flyer mile, a goal he pursues with zeal as the rest of his life falls apart because he is constantly on the road. Vera Farmiga will play a businesswoman who develops a romantic relationship with Clooney’s character through meetings in airports and hotels around the country.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, George Clooney is the luckiest SOB alive.
