The second TV spot for W. has hit the web and once again, just like the first one, this also gives us the comedy side of the movie, Is W. only going to make fun of George W. Bush? Cause that’s what it seems so far. What about the drama aspect of it all? I thought Oliver Stone was going to give a fair portrayal. I’m not a fan of the Bush administration but what good would this biopic be if this turns out to be one-sides only?!
In an interview with GQ Magazine, Director Oliver Stone revealed that the name Josh Brolin initially didn’t cross his mind when trying to cast someone to play the current president, he was actually thinking of Bruce Wayne.
“Originally I went for Christian Bale. We did some rigorous prosthetic tests and spent a lot of dough — thousands and thousands of dollars — and then Christian said, ‘I just don’t feel like I can do it.’ I met Josh and liked him. He was more rural Americana. But man, he was scared s***less.”
