Jonathan Levine, the filmmaker who brought us All The Boys Love Mandy Lane and The Wackness will also get to direct the now untitled I’m With Cancer comedy starring Seth Rogen, James McAvoy and Anna Kendrick, shooting starts next month, but The Playlist has found out about a new zombie book that Levine wants to bring to the big screen…
It’s originally a short story titled I AM A ZOMBIE FILLED WITH LOVE by author Isaac Marion, the book is titled WARM BODIES.
Levine is set to write and direct this project that’s housed at Summit Entertainment. Bruna Papandrea (Milk, Mysteries Of Pittsburgh) is producing. No cast yet but Levine has started writing the script.
It’s a comic zombie love story that’s told like a diary. Marion set up a page that will give you an idea of the character and the world he’s created.
But check out the book trailer for WARM BODIES below, for some reason, something in the narration that’s surprisingly soothing, somehow you feel sympathy for the lovesick zombie.
