I guess we can go through this one real quick, mainly because it practically starts with a question mark and then ends with another question mark. Slashfilm first heard that Arianna Huffington, a syndicated columnist and co-founder of the liberal news website The Huffington Post, tweeted about shooting a part in a Wachowskis Brothers film, a movie about the Iraq War, from the perspective of the future, complete with photos from the set too…
The pictures prove that she was working with Lana Wachowski formerly known as Larry Wachowski, and there are green screens in the background, Wachowski’s friend when it comes to filmmaking.
So movie bloggers went bananas thinking The Wachowski Bros. the brains behind The Matrix has been making a new movie without anyone knowing jack about it. Quite possibly the most successful secretive big budget project in Hollywood, if that was the case. But Devin of CHUD said this isn’t a movie, it’s just “test footage” for their next project. They are not currently working on any movie.
Erik of Cinematical said it’s probably the Wachowski Brothers-produced Tom Tykwer-directed adaptation CLOUD ATLAS based on the novel by David Mitchell .
Between you and me, I think the concept according to Huffington’s description is intriguing, one that only Wachowskis can imagine. I hope the project does get a greenlight, but for now, we wait to hopefully hear some more.
