What’s The Scariest Movie You’ve Ever Seen?

I can’t wait to finally watch PARANORMAL ACTIVITY this weekend and check out what the buzz is all about. Here are quotes from some of the reviews out there
“Good Luck Going to Sleep” –AICN
“The Scariest Movie Of the Decade” –Chicagonow
“Seriously creepy!” — Fearnet

I’ve said before that The Exorcist and the original A Nightmare On Elm Street were my top 2 scariest movies of all time, the ones that actually shook me and kept me sleeping with the lights on for days when I was a kid. That’s the only thing I’m worried about watching PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, sleeping with the lights on would take a hefty toll on my utility bills, maybe I should get one of those little nightlights but even those probably won’t be enough to calm me down. Sometimes I wonder why do I keep watching horror movies, maybe because I like to know how far something can really scare me. Zombies, Werewolves, Vampires, masked serial killers have had their days, they come and go and now it’s the return of demons and ghosts.

What’s the scariest movie that you’ve ever seen in your entire freakin’ life? Why? What was the aftermath effect?

It might seem silly, but the recent remake of The Amityville Horror with Ryan Renolds terrified me. I simply couldn’t sleep for several days after watching that. Like you, The Exorcist freaked me out quite a bit too!

I had you parents, that includes watching movies like ‘Aliens’ and ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ at the age of 6, lol. Nothing beats that when it comes to scary experiences.

The latest movies that were a real “thrill” for me? Um, ‘The Blair Witch Project’, ‘The Descent’, ‘28 Days/Weeks Later’. That’s about it, I guess.

I thought it was just ok,… the original one was much scarier..but thanks for letting us know though.

The Exorcist is my all-time fave horror.
Shutter (Thailand), Sukob (Philippines), 4bia (Thailand) and Bayi Ajaib (Indonesia). All of them terrified me in different ways. Especially Bayi Ajaib, my childhood nightmare.
Ringu (Japan) and Ju-On (Korea) as well.

I thought the American version of THE RING was way way scarier than the original RINGU (Japan)
I need to check out this Bayi Ajaib one of these days
