I guess it’s a good thing I didn’t share with you previous info that went around about Sylvester Stallone asking his Demolition Man co-star Sandra Bullock to join the gang of his next movie THE EXPENDABLES because word has it Bullock isn’t going to be in the new project after all.
Maybe she drew the line at three seashells.
But Hollywood Reporter heard that the offer is now made to actor Forest Whitaker. He’s in talks to be in this action movie that Stallone once proclaims as the homecoming of tough guys.
Whitaker would play the CIA liaison for a group of mercenaries (played by Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Randy Couture and Jason Statham) who are clandestinely sent to South America to overthrow a dictator and somewhere along the storyline, the first Punisher, Dolph Lundgren also gets to break some necks too.
As usual, being a control freak that he is, Stallone wrote the script and he will also direct and help produce and possibly also decide the costumes that they’re going to wear.
Production starts in February 2009.
