If there was one TV series that shook the 90s and left an impression more lasting than Seinfeld or even Beverly Hills 90210.. that show would be none other than.. FRIENDS.
It’s iconic, it’s beloved by many and guess what, I was not one of the fans.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen some episodes, I know the whole manbag, the whole Rachel and Ross, and Matthew Perry as Chandler was skinny one year and then real fat the next… it’s part of popular culture, what can I say. And it is a funny show overall..
I just wasn’t into it that much that’s all.
But if you are a fan, then you’ll jump and down in euphoria about this info.
Apparently since the response for Sex and the City the movie was generally great. It has brought some inspiration to Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow..
the inspiration to bring the TV show that brought them fame and fortune.. to the big screen!
That’s right.. how do you like the idea of FRIENDS The Movie?
Well, nothing is confirmed or official yet, they’re just talking and nothing wrong with talking, right?
According to Daily Mail…
“Jennifer, Courteney and the rest of the cast are keen to reprise their roles, under the right circumstances,” according to their source. “Timing and the script are really important, but now that Courteney and Jen both have production companies, they can potentially get very involved in those decisions.”
“But the truth is that Jennifer is finally willing to do it, and she’d love to work with that whole team of actors and producers again,” the source said. “She says she and Courteney have already talked this summer about what they want out of a Friends movie, and if deals can be made with them, everything else can fall into place rather quickly.”
I think it’s fair to say that the only one who’s doing well right now career-wise is Jennifer Aniston. She’s practically a movie star (Bruce Almighty)
Matthew Perry tried movies (The Whole Nine Yard, The Whole Ten Yards) but things got cold afterward, Matt LeBlanc will unfortunately forever be typecast JOEY, and he had his own stand alone comedy series but it got canceled. David Schwimmer does gigs like Madagascar movies, Lisa Kudrow’s not doing so hot either.
Courtney Cox has a series that seems to be surviving on FX Channel titled Dirt.
I love Courtney Cox… if I could spend one day as her husband David Arquette… I’d be eternally happy.. my ‘fantasy’ will come true.
So everybody could really use this FRIENDS The Movie because ‘Friends‘ is all they know.
So all of you the fans everywhere better cross your fingers and hope that Jennifer Aniston doesn’t feel too cool to play Rachel now.
