The filming for the movie sequel based on one of my favorite series of all time, X-FILES 2 came to an end.
Now it’s time for director Chris Carter and his editing crew to start post-production, and quickly I might add because the movie’s supposed to be out by July 25th, 2008.
I sure hope that doesn’t mean a hasty work resulting in half-ass results.
According to a long article on National Post, apparently paparazzi were spying on them for most of their shooting process, o and uh.. those photos of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson kissing, which you can see HERE, David said they staged that… I knew that!
So what’s the story going to be? They’re still keeping this one secret but so far here’s what they’re trying to do with this sequel according to producer Frank Spotnitz…
The movie is a stand-alone story unconnected to the series’ ongoing conspiracy thread, but beyond that they’re not saying much.
“We’re not doing an exercise in nostalgia to appeal to the fans of the show,” said co-writer and producer Frank Spotnitz. “We saw this as an opportunity to introduce the characters to people who may have been too young . . . It has a reason for being, even if there’d never been a television show before.”
Fine then, don’t share! Let’s see if I care.
Who am I kiddin’.. of course I’ll still see the movie, that’s what happens when you’re a fan of something. You stick by it thick or thin.
Too bad Gillian Anderson was too sick to attend that press conference, for the record, once again… she’s hot!
