Zach Galifianakis had a great fall but his career is going well. I should’ve dressed up as Galifianakis’s Hangover character for Halloween… man that would’ve been awesome! Ever since the successful comedy, it’s as if Hollywood wants a piece of Galifianakis’ thick ass beard. He’s got Dinner for Schmucks, Due Date, It’s Kind Of A Funny Story all in his pocket and now he’s set to do a voicework for Dreamworks’ animated spin-off, PUSS IN BOOTS…
According to Hollywood Reporter, Galifianakis will voice Humpty Dumpty in this movie about how PUSS IN BOOTS came to be and the events leading up to how he met Shrek in the second installment. Which I find odd because Antonio Banderas have said that it will not overlap with Shrek but then he also said that PUSS IN BOOTS story takes place between Shrek 4 (Shrek Forever After) and Shrek 5. Either the logline has changed or Banderas was hungover.
Salma Hayek is also a voice star in PUSS IN BOOTS, directed by Chris Miller using screenplay written by Tom Wheeler.
Previous Dreamworks announcement had PUSS IN BOOTS scheduled for release in March 2012 but now the report says PUSS IN BOOTS will hit theaters on November 4th, 2011
