Zombieland

Last fall, one of the greatest info of all time was confirmed that ZOMBIELAND 2 was in the works and it will be in 3D. No offense to Cameron fans everywhere but ZOMBIELAND 2 in 3D is gonna kick AVATAR’s blue ass. The awesome writers responsible for this zombie coolness, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, talked to MTV and said that there’s a chance Woody Harrelson’s badass character Tallahassee might find a love interest, non-zombie hopefully, in this follow up…

“We want to stick with our dysfunctional family,”
“But also introduce new characters.”
“There will be continuing romantic adventures,”
“We haven’t decided on this, but it would be nice to have a love interest for Tallahassee.”

Good, because watching the supposed romantic tension between Jesse Eisenberg and Emma Stone was a bit awkward, kinda like watching Michael Cera trying to get with.. every girl in his movies.
As far as Abigail Breslin’s character Wichita goes…

“I think that it’s going to continue to be about growing up in ‘Zombieland,’”
“Growing up in a world that’s not necessarily geared towards growing up; it’s a world that forces you to grow up much quicker than you would have otherwise.”

And then they went on to say a set of exciting comments on what we can anticipate..

“There absolutely will be a sequel, and it will absolutely be in 3-D,”
“Now, it’s just a question of what that sequel will be. It’s not a question of having enough ideas, but almost having too many ideas. We have a lot of ideas!”
““We entirely want to write with 3-D in mind,”
“We have the vision, and want to have fun with the technology.”
“We want you to be looking down at your popcorn to make sure there isn’t blood on it,”
“There will be a lot of fluids flying!”

O snap, o snap! So many ideas,  fluids flying and blood on popcorn! My mind is about to explode, I’m so happy, I haven’t cried like this since Titanic.
They even took the zombies into consideration

“We don’t discriminate when it comes to zombies,”
“We like to think that a zombie’s character isn’t just about their profession, or what their personality was, but what were they doing at that moment they became a zombie.”
“I think that we like to think about the ‘Zombieland’ characters in terms of how they survived, what qualities do they have that led them to survive?”
“As long as they have some quality for survival, then they make sense for the movie.”

Can these guys be any more awesome or what!
Sounds like they got it all planned out and disappointing the fans is not part of their agenda.
They’re currently working on the screenplay, they’re also in charge of DEADPOOL script, and ZOMBIELAND 2 in 3D is expected to hit theaters either next year or 2012.
